Stana-Vidradhi is a disease in which abscess develops in the breast. In the initial stage it is a hard, stony palpable mass and later on all the symptoms of Vidradhi (abscess) are found.
Treatment
Stop milk feeding of the baby to ensure outlet of milk by breast pump. Treatment prescribed under Vidradhi should be followed.
External Applications
1. Lepa (plaster) of rhizome of Haridrā (turmeric), and leaf of Dhattūra (datura) in water to be applied on the abscess.
2. Lepa (plaster) of root of Indravāruṇī (colocynth) in water to be applied on the abscess.
3. Lepa (plaster) of root of Bandhyākarkoṭakīi in water to be applied on the abscess.
